Job Description

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join their dynamic team, based in Gauteng. This role reports directly to the National Sales Executive.

We are looking for a self-motivated sales professional with proven experience in the manufacturing or wholesale industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and achieving monthly sales targets.

 

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) + a qualification in Sales or Marketing, Manufacturing (e.g. IMM Certificate) would be preferred.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar sales role, for the manufacturing or wholesale sector
  • Stable career history with proven track record of targets reached
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel regularly

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Core focus would be 60% existing client maintenance & satisfaction and 40% on new business development
  • Source and secure new business through client visits and cold calling
  • Understand customer requirements and tailor solutions accordingly
  • Conduct presentations and promote new products and special offers
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms
  • Advise clients on delivery timelines and after-sales service
  • Maintain regular contact with existing clients via visits and calls
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry developments
  • Attend industry seminars, trade shows, and events to stay up to date
  • Achieve and report on monthly sales targets
  • Submit accurate orders and customer details to internal sales support
