Key Responsibilities
1. Project Screening & Origination
- Assist in evaluating greenfield and brownfield infrastructure and energy projects.
- Conduct preliminary bankability assessments, considering technology, sponsor strength, and contractual arrangements.
- Prepare project summaries highlighting key risks and mitigation measures.
2. Financial Modelling & Analysis
- Support the development and review of project finance cash flow models.
- Assist with debt sculpting, Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) analysis, and covenant testing.
- Review assumptions related to tariffs, operating costs, inflation/escalation, and financing structures.
- Perform sensitivity and downside scenario analyses for lenders and investors.
3. Project Structuring
- Analyse project structures, including SPVs and contractual risk allocation.
- Review key project agreements such as:
- Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) / Offtake Agreements
- EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) Contracts
- Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Contracts
- Fuel Supply Agreements (where applicable)
- Identify bankability gaps and potential structuring solutions.
4. Due Diligence Support
- Coordinate technical, financial, legal, and ESG due diligence processes.
- Manage lender and investor due diligence checklists.
- Review data room documentation and summarise findings.
- Track outstanding due diligence issues and mitigation actions.
5. Financing & Credit Analysis
- Analyse debt structures, including tenor, pricing, covenants, and security packages.
- Support preparation of materials for Credit Committee and Investment Committee reviews.
- Compare funding options across commercial banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and blended finance providers.
6. Investment Committee Support
- Assist in preparing investment memoranda.
- Contribute to financial, risk, and covenant analysis sections.
- Record and organise meeting notes from financing and investment discussions.
7. Construction & Operational Monitoring
- Support monitoring of projects during construction and operations.
- Review drawdown requests and budget-versus-actual performance.
- Assist with ongoing covenant compliance and project performance monitoring.
8. ESG & Lender Compliance
- Support integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements into project assessments.
- Monitor ESG action plans and lender compliance obligations.

Experience
- Graduate or 0–2 years of experience.
- Exposure to project finance, infrastructure, renewable energy, or investment projects is advantageous but not essential.
