The Duties:
- Lead the development, optimisation, and support of advanced manufacturing processes
- Drive continuous improvement across both new product introductions and existing production lines
- Implement in-process controls to reduce variation and improve consistency
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Identify and prioritise cost-saving opportunities
- Propose, risk-assess, implement, and validate process changes
- Support the introduction of new equipment and technologies
The Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
- Proven experience in wafer-level processing, MEMS, or microfabrication technologies
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing process development, SPC, and cleanroom environments
- Skilled in failure analysis, FMEA, and statistical tools for defect reduction
- Familiarity with metrology tools (e.g. SEM, optical profilometry, microscopy)
- Experience delivering robust processes for both NPI and production
- Ability to work independently, mentor others, and influence cross-functional teams
- Desirable: CAD for tooling design, Python/MATLAB for data analysis, Six Sigma certification, experience in semiconductor or optoelectronic device manufacturing
