Turning Cell Leader – CNC Setter/Programmer
📍 Location: Brislington, Bristol 
💷 Pay: £18.00 per hour
🕒 Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (Mon–Thu), 08:00 – 15:30 (Fri)
🍵 Breaks: 30 mins unpaid lunch + 15 mins paid tea break
📅 Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays
💼 Contract: Full-time, Permanent


About the Role

We are seeking a Turning Cell Leader to join our machine shop team. This role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC machines with a focus on turning and drilling operations. You’ll take a hands-on approach while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines (Fanuc/G code)

  • Prepare and load raw materials and components

  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications

  • Maintain machinery and ensure daily checks are completed

  • Work in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and ISO 9001 standards

  • Support team performance and production deadlines


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Programmer

  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc/G code programming

  • Skilled in using precision measuring equipment

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and mechanical documents

  • Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Able to work independently and meet production targets
