Kitchen Porters & General Assistants (Schools – September Start)

Locations: Various client sites across London.

Working Days: Monday-Friday.

Pay Rate: £12.21 – £16.02 per hour (depending on payment method chosen).

Start Date: September 2025 – in line with school reopening.

Contract Type: Temporary assignments with potential for temp-to-perm placements.

We are seeking General Assistants and kitchen porters to assist at a selection of our client’s sites in N20, NW5, NW10, TW10 and KT11 for when schools re open in September. 

 Role Responsibilities

Kitchen Porters:

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and food prep areas

Operate commercial dishwashers and ensure all utensils, pans, and equipment are cleaned efficiently

Assist with kitchen organisation, stock handling, and waste disposal

Support the kitchen team with general back-of-house duties

General Assistants:

Assist with basic food preparation and food service

Set up, clean, and clear dining areas

Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld at all times

Provide general support to kitchen and catering staff as required

Candidate Requirements:

Enhanced DBS Certificate (must be issued within the last 2 years) – essential

Correct uniform – black trousers, black shirt, and safety shoes

Previous experience in a similar school or catering environment – preferred

Flexibility to work across different sites if needed
