Job Title: MIG Welder Fabricator

Peterborough

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join a growing and well-established fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in MIG welding and general fabrication to contribute to a variety of exciting projects across industrial, commercial, and bespoke sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out high-quality MIG welding on mild steel and other metals as required.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication schematics accurately.

  • Fabricate structural and bespoke metal components to precise specifications.

  • Operate a range of fabrication machinery including saws, grinders, and press brakes.

  • Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets required standards.

  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with the wider workshop team to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in MIG welding and metal fabrication.

  • Confident in reading and working from technical engineering drawings.

  • Skilled in working with mild steel; experience with stainless steel or aluminium is an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.

  • Experience in operating fabrication workshop tools and machinery.

  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented approach.

  • NVQ or equivalent qualifications in welding/fabrication (preferred but not essential).
