We are seeking a passionate and experienced School Chef to join our vibrant school community in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious, balanced meals for pupils and staff, ensuring high standards of food safety, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals in accordance with school menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen regulations.
• Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
• Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a chef, ideally in an educational or institutional setting.
• Level 2 or higher Food Hygiene Certificate (required).
• Knowledge of allergen management and special dietary needs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

• Experience working in a school or with children.
• Menu planning and budgeting experience.
• Understanding of nutritional guidelines for children.
