Care Assistant / Support Worker (Driver Required)

Location: Grantham & Surrounding VillagesPay: £14.50 – £17.70 per hour + Paid Mileage

Greenwood Homecare is recruiting compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as Care Assistants supporting people in their own homes across Grantham and surrounding villages.

Whether you’re experienced or completely new to care, we provide full paid training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

Key Requirements

• Must live within the Grantham area
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
• Willingness to travel to nearby villages
• A caring, patient and reliable nature

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You will provide essential support to elderly and vulnerable people in their own homes, helping them remain independent and comfortable.

Duties include:

• Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Preparing meals and supporting nutrition
• Administering or prompting medication
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry)
• Supporting independence, dignity and wellbeing

No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.

Pay and Benefits

• £14.50 per hour (weekday rate)
• £15.00 per hour (weekends)
• £17.70 per hour (bank holidays)
• Paid mileage at 31p per mile
• Pay progression based on length of service

You will also receive:

• Paid DBS check
• Full paid training (no experience required)
