The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for executing day-to-day procurement activities to support manufacturing operations. This includes ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, components, and services to maintain production continuity.

Working closely with sourcing, planning, and production teams, the Buyer will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, tracking orders, and resolving supply chain challenges in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and manage purchase orders in line with production requirements
  • Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery schedules, and shipment details
  • Expedite or reschedule orders to meet changing business needs
  • Monitor supplier performance and address delivery or quality issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure material availability and inventory accuracy
  • Support onboarding of new suppliers and manufacturing partners
  • Investigate and resolve supply issues, including delays, shortages, and discrepancies
  • Assist with inventory control to balance stock levels and reduce excess
  • Ensure compliance with procurement processes and supplier agreements
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience sourcing direct materials or managing suppliers
  • Exposure to contract manufacturing or outsourced production
  • Understanding of logistics, international purchasing, and Incoterms
