Financial Controller - 6 month Fixed Term Contract - Tower Hill, London - Hybrid - £70,000 - £80,000 + generous benefits ( 2 days in the office, Tues/Wed)

FryerMiles is partnering with a charity/commercial organisation in Tower Hill, London, to recruit a Financial Controller on a 6 month Contract. This organisation is in the fortunate position of being self-funded, utilising its significant investments to generate income for its charitable giving. 

Our client is seeking a Financial Controller on a 6 month fixed term contract to back fill the current incumbent who is moving across to complete a project internally.. The successful candidate will report directly into the Finance & Commercial Director and work closely with other senior stakeholders. This role is made even more interesting as although it's a small organisation, it operates more like a small conglomerate due to its diverse functions. These functions include specialist areas which are outsourced to a number of 3rd party providers and advisors. An important part of the role to manage these external providers and ensure they are fully compliant with the timely delivery of agreed financial and other requirements.

They will also be responsible for general finance duties including:

• The timely and accurate delivery of all statutory, fiscal, financial and management reporting, up to and including Board level presentation and approval
• Carrying out or overseeing the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, accrued income and longer-term provision balances.
• The design, approval, implementation and maintenance of all necessary financial policies, processes and procedures.
• The 'day to day' management of the Finance Department

The successful candidate will assist the Finance & Commercial Director and at times the CEO, as well as managing the Finance team. You will have the ability to support the non-finance budget holders and train them in how to better use their new financial reports. Experience with Netsuite  would be advantageous as this has recently been rolled out.

You will be hands-on and enthusiastic, with previous experience working within a detailed environment. You will possess an inquisitive mind-set, be enthusiastic, proactive and enjoy working with people, with the ability to take ownership of problems and seek to propose solutions.

Our client seeks an accomplished finance professional who is a qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA with a strong technical background. Experience in statutory reporting an advantage.
