Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Analyse monthly overheads performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and enhance financial reports, dashboards and KPIs to support business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy and automation, including through tools such as Power BI.

Month-End & Financial Controls

  • Support month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors in relation to overheads.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and processes.

Commercial Insight & Cost Optimisation

  • Analyse business processes and expenditure to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost control.
  • Provide actionable financial analysis and recommendations to influence business decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support annual budgeting and in-year forecasting processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust budgeting and forecasting models.
  • Challenge assumptions using data-driven analysis to improve forecast accuracy and financial efficiency.

You will be a highly analytical and commercially minded finance professional with strong financial modelling skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to turn financial data into practical business recommendations.

You will ideally bring:

  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant status (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with financial models and large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage, challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • A proactive, inquisitive approach and a genuine interest in improving business performance.
  • The ability to work collaboratively while managing priorities effectively.

Experience within telecoms, infrastructure, construction or business services would be advantageous, as would exposure to Power BI, financial systems and data visualisation tools.
