Tax Senior - Stratford-upon-Avon (Hybrid)

Up to £45,000 + Benefits

We're supporting a highly respected, Top 100 accountancy practice as they look to hire a Tax Senior to join their growing Tax & Wealth Planning team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with solid personal tax experience who wants genuine progression and exposure to wider advisory work.

The role

You'll manage your own portfolio of personal tax clients, prepare returns, advise on liabilities, and handle HMRC correspondence. Alongside this, you'll get stuck into CGT work, 60-day submissions, capital taxes, and a variety of specialist areas - with full support to develop toward CTA if desired.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing personal tax returns and advising on payment deadlines
  • Handling HMRC queries and compliance matters
  • Preparing CGT computations, 60-day returns and supporting trainees
  • Assisting with specialist areas: ATED, VAT options, capital taxes, SDLT, NIC, share schemes
  • Reviewing work from junior team members
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities
  • Supporting and training junior staff
  • Assisting with partnership, trust and estate returns
  • Registering trusts via TRS
  • Providing tax support to other internal teams

     

What we're looking for

  • Degree, ATT or equivalent experience (CTA desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years' tax experience in practice
  • Strong knowledge across personal and business taxes
  • Confident preparing CGT and capital taxes work
  • Comfortable using tax software and HMRC online services
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
