Interim Finance Manager - £300 to £400 day rate DOE - Remote
FryerMiles is partnering with a Multi-Academy Trust, to recruit an Interim Finance Manager.
This role is to support the Finance Director to provide effective and efficient management of the Trust's finance and assets
The duties of the Finance Manager include:
- Support the Finance Director in day-to-day financial management, planning, and reporting across the Trust and its academies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, and internal/external reports.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Oversee monthly payroll and handle VAT, local authority, and government returns.
- Line manage Finance Officers and support their professional development.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and review purchase/sales ledgers.
- Ensure timely reconciliations of balance sheet codes.
- Assist with cost-saving initiatives and contract negotiations.
- Support lettings management and budget holders with financial reporting and budget control.
- Help ensure robust corporate governance and internal controls.
- Lead or support tender processes and ensure value for money in procurement.
- Undertake ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
The successful Finance Manager will:
- Have experience of working within Schools or Public services
- Been involved with payroll and account management
- Worked with government pension scheme
