Job Opportunity: Production Operative – Rotating Shifts
 
Salary: £13.27 per hour (night shift rate)
Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off (rotating shifts)

  • Day Shift: 06:00 – 18:00
  • Night Shift: 18:00 – 06:00
    Immediate Start Available

Contract Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Production Operative at a busy herb processing factory. Due to the location, candidates must have their own transport. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maintain factory equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor herbs through washers, spinners, and the thresher room (-20°C, appropriate clothing provided).
  • Feed packaging lines, assemble and tape boxes, and ensure herbs are correctly boxed.
  • Work in cold storage areas (-18°C) and assist with forklift operations (licensed drivers only).
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across factory and yard.
  • Carry out factory wash down and cleaning programs.
  • Weigh, pack, and palletise finished products efficiently.
  • Support the team to ensure smooth and trouble-free production.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in cold environments for short periods.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Team player with a flexible and reliable attitude.
  • Forklift license is a plus but not essential for non-driving roles.
  • Own transport is essential due to location.
