We are working with a fantastic Andover based company who are seeking a Senior Management Accountant.  There is on offer a hybrid working pattern and other fantastic benefits for the successful candidate.

As Senior managment accountant you will be responsible for the preparation of quarterly accounts together with annual financial accounts and budgets. This includes the reconciliation and report of all Marketing accounts (digital and traditional) and the reconciliation and reporting of the CEO promotional accounts.  Your role also includes the processing of all Finance owned condition contracts, testing new processes and providing support and guidance to the Claims team.

You will have:

  • ACCA/CIMA part qualified or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience within a finance department environment.
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar level of role
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of reconciliation work, management accounts and budget prepapration.

You will be responsible for:

  • The preparation of quarterly management accounts including analysis of P&L balance sheet accounts.
  • To produce in a timely manner accurate year end accounts and assist in the production of the year end statutory financial statements for
  • Production of the annual budget as directed by the Group Finance Manager, including actioning any changes requested.
  • To prepare the VAT return, 5 days before the return has to be filed online. Once approved, ensure the VAT return is filed within HMRC deadlines.
  • Assist with the annual audit as directed by the Group Finance Manager/HOF, which includes fulfilling all requests on Connect (auditors logging system).
  • Line manage the accounts assistant including maintenance on Iris (approvals for WFH and annual leave), regular one to one review’s and ensuring there is office cover as required.
  • To ensure all legal and financial documents are filed completely, correctly and within the required time frame (including payments where required and VAT returns)
  • To ensure that all commission credits are created/released/issued on a timely basis, as required, and any failures are investigated promptly.
