This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is motivated to make a difference in the lives of students with additional learning needs. As part of a close-knit, inclusive environment, you will work with a diverse group of students, helping them reach their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to thrive and build confidence.
  • Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure that all students receive the appropriate support and resources.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to student support and ensure the best possible outcomes for each child.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, ensuring your teaching practices align with the latest strategies for SEN education.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students who have special educational needs, particularly in a mainstream or specialist education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and an understanding of a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and emotional development of students.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students succeed in a positive and nurturing environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to use creative methods to engage students.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a warm, welcoming school that prioritises inclusion and student well-being.
  • Work in a collaborative environment where staff are supported and encouraged to develop professionally.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression.
  • A school culture focused on creating a positive and supportive learning environment for both students and staff.
  • Access to excellent resources and support staff to aid in your teaching.
