Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Plan and develop creative schemes of work that inspire students of all abilities.
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression through a variety of media and techniques.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including exhibitions, displays, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Art at secondary level is preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative arts education.
- Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
