Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Full-time – Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £90 - £105 per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and adapting resources to suit individual needs.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Implement EHCP targets and work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Support pupils with personal care where required.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is preferred.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
