SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Autism Support) – Full Time

High Wycombe | April Start

Are you committed to making a meaningful impact in the life of a child with Autism (ASC)? Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to deliver tailored 1:1 support within a welcoming and inclusive school in High Wycombe. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in helping a pupil develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive learning environment.

This is a full-time role where you’ll play a key part in helping a child thrive both academically and emotionally.

Your Role:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism (ASC)
  • Support learning through tailored interventions and structured routines
  • Help develop communication, social, and emotional skills
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting SEN pupils, ideally with Autism (ASC)
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient personality
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
  • Knowledge of phonics or structured learning approaches (desirable)
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed
