Year 4 Class Teacher

Location: Southampton

 Start Date: April 2026

Contract: 5 days per week- full time

 Pay: Paid to scale (£168 – £233 per day)

About the Role:

A larger than average Primary school in the Southampton area is seeking an experienced Year 4 teacher starting April 2026 until the end of the academic year.  This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year 4 class, working closely with a year group partner and a full time LSA.  The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life.

  • Qualified Primary Teacher
  • Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND
  • Consistent, adaptive and inclusive professionals

Requirements

  • UK-recognised teaching qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
