Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Contract: Part-Time (2 Days per Week) – 1 Term
Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 pro rata (M1–UPS3)
Start Date: September 2026

Are you an experienced Secondary Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity? Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join a welcoming Independent Christian School in Watford for one term from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to teach motivated secondary students, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire, challenge, and support their academic development.

About the Role

As a Secondary Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in your subject area to Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 students.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with curriculum requirements and departmental expectations.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages high standards and a love of learning.
• Support the Christian ethos of the school through teaching and pastoral care.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and improve teaching standards.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where possible.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Proven experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Professional, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Appreciation of, and willingness to support, the Christian ethos of the school.
