The Opportunity:

Supply Desk is currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Kings Langley area. This role presents an excellent opportunity to inspire students through engaging science lessons and support their academic development across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5.

Whether you are an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this position offers the chance to work within a supportive school that values high-quality teaching and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3–5, adapting learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Plan and prepare creative lessons and practical activities in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback to encourage achievement.
• Maintain a safe and organised laboratory environment, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Encourage curiosity, critical thinking and enthusiasm for scientific learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the continued development of the Science department.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A degree in Chemistry or a related scientific subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant secondary teaching experience.
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering Chemistry to secondary-aged students.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to inspiring and motivating young people to achieve their potential.
