About the Role

Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through practical learning while developing essential life skills, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.

The successful candidate will teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 and join a supportive department committed to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Teach food preparation, nutrition, and healthy living.

  • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment.

  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Encourage creativity and practical problem-solving skills.

  • Support students of varying abilities to achieve their potential.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Experience teaching Food Technology.

  • Strong classroom management skills.

  • Passion for practical and vocational learning.

  • Commitment to raising student achievement.

  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
