Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Days

Salary: Paid to scale (M1–UPS3) or £130–£150 per day

Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable)

• Inspiring students through literature, writing, and critical thinking

• Creating positive, inclusive, and well‑managed learning environments

• Adapting quickly to different schools, timetables, and class groups

• Supporting student progress and promoting positive behaviour

• Collaborating with school staff and following school policies

What We’re Looking For

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching English in secondary settings

• Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management

• Adaptable, reliable, and enthusiastic approach

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess lessons independently
