About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Aylesbury from Easter 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging and relevant lessons that equip students with valuable knowledge in enterprise, finance, marketing, and the wider business world.

You will be joining a supportive and ambitious department that values high standards, collaboration, and continuous improvement, providing an environment where both staff and students can succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 (KS5 desirable but not essential).

  • Prepare well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum and examination board requirements.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and focused classroom environment that supports progress for all learners.

  • Monitor and assess student performance, using data to inform planning and targeted support.

  • Encourage independent thinking and real-world application of business concepts.

  • Contribute to departmental development and wider school initiatives.

  • Build effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to promote achievement and wellbeing.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level.

  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current exam specifications.

  • Confident classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire students.

  • A reflective and proactive approach to professional development.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
