A thriving secondary school in Milton Keynes is urgently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team. With an ASAP start date, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to make a meaningful impact on students’ education and practical skills in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach dynamic Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities for KS5.

  • Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on cooking sessions that encourage creativity and build practical skills.

  • Explore the science of food, from nutrition to sustainable food practices, helping students understand the impact of food on health and the environment.

  • Lead extracurricular activities such as cooking competitions, food-related showcases, and school events.

  • Collaborate with the wider teaching team to enhance the learning experience and contribute to the success of the food department.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or working towards) with a degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a relevant field.

  • Experience teaching food technology at secondary level, with a passion for food and cooking.

  • Ability to teach both practical cooking techniques and the theoretical aspects of food science.

  • A creative, enthusiastic approach to teaching with a focus on student engagement and development.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues alike.
