Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Slough

Full-Time | ASAP
Salary: £100–£120 per day (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a new challenge in Slough? A welcoming primary school is seeking a confident and proactive HLTA to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to support teaching and learning across the school, including delivering lessons and interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned lessons and cover classes across KS1 and KS2 when required
  • Support teachers in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments
  • Lead small group interventions to boost pupil progress
  • Assist with assessment and tracking of pupil achievement
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to the wider school community

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Confident, adaptable, and proactive in supporting teaching and learning
  • Committed to inclusive education and safeguarding practices
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
