Job Description:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD, ensuring engagement and progress
  • Implement individualised strategies to support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the child’s needs and promote independence
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with ASD in a school setting
  • Be patient, empathetic, and skilled in behaviour management and communication strategies
  • Understand SEND best practices, safeguarding protocols, and inclusive approaches
  • Be passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
