Supply Desk is a nationwide education recruitment company specialising in Primary, SEND, and Secondary education. We place teaching staff in day-to-day and long-term placements across Primary and Secondary schools throughout Brighton & Hove, East Sussex, and West Sussex.

We are currently seeking a passionate and adaptable Supply DT Teacher (Secondary) to support schools in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas. Applications are warmly welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured DT lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Adapt quickly to different classroom and workshop environments and follow each school’s curriculum
• Teach a variety of DT topics, including resistant materials, textiles, graphics, and CAD/CAM
• Maintain strong classroom and workshop management and promote a safe, positive learning environment
• Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with school policies
• Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents where required

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching DT within a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across DT curriculum areas
• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
