General TA – Peacehaven

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable General Teaching Assistants to support schools in Peacehaven and the surrounding areas.

About the Role

Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience or continue your career in education? We are seeking motivated General Teaching Assistants to work within primary school settings in Peacehaven.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support learning across the curriculum. You may assist with whole-class activities, small group interventions, and provide additional support to pupils who need extra guidance. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

We offer flexible opportunities including day-to-day supply, short-term placements, and long-term roles, with the potential for permanent positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
• Work with small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Provide additional support to pupils who require extra help.
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Promote good behaviour and follow school policies.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure pupil wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential).
• A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organisational skills and reliability.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
