Classroom Support Assistants – Primary & Secondary

Location: East Grinstead & Surrounding Areas Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Start Dates Daily Rate: £89.05 – £110 Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and pupils to create positive, inclusive learning environments across East Grinstead schools.

Whether you’re looking for full‑time work or flexible day‑to‑day placements, we’ll match you with settings where your support truly matters.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting teachers with lessons, activities and classroom routines

  • Supporting pupils one‑to‑one or in small groups

  • Helping create a calm, inclusive and encouraging learning environment

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs and adapting to different learning styles

  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children (school, youth work or similar)

  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach

  • Confidence supporting pupils with a range of needs

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
