Job Role: Science Teacher (SEN) Are you a passionate Science Teacher who believes that every young person deserves an engaging, accessible, and meaningful science education? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist secondary setting in Portsmouth where relationships, consistency, and individual progress sit at the heart of everything we do. About the Setting This specialist SEN secondary school supports pupils aged 11–16 with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and additional communication and learning needs. Many pupils have experienced disruption to their education and benefit from a highly structured, trauma-informed approach delivered by a dedicated and understanding staff team. Class sizes are small, support is strong, and the focus is on re-engaging learners through personalised pathways that build confidence, curiosity, and resilience. The Role As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapted to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities. You will play a key role in helping students reconnect with learning, develop scientific thinking, and experience success in the classroom.
