PHYSICS TEACHER

Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919

As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4 students how to approach problems logically and apply concepts through structured and consistent lessons.

Key responsibilities
Teach Physics across KS3 and KS4
Explain key concepts such as forces, energy, and electricity
Support students with calculations and problem-solving
Reinforce formulas and scientific terminology
Prepare students for GCSE exams
Track progress and address misconceptions
Maintain structured and focused lessons

The classroom environment
Lessons are step-by-step and clear
Students understand processes, not just answers
Behaviour is calm and consistent
Learning is focused

Skills and experience
Strong Physics subject knowledge
Clear explanation skills
Organisation and planning
Confident classroom management

What success looks like
Students solve problems independently
Understanding improves across topics
Confidence increases over time

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with Physics or engineering backgrounds
