Salary: £29,344–£44,919

As a Secondary Drama Teacher, you will deliver structured and engaging lessons that balance creativity with control across KS3 and KS4.

Key responsibilities
Teach Drama across KS3 and KS4
Plan practical performance-based lessons
Support students in acting and evaluation
Prepare students for GCSE coursework
Manage behaviour during active lessons
Maintain safe and structured environments

The classroom environment
Lessons are active but controlled
Students understand expectations
Participation is high
Behaviour is consistent

Skills and experience
Experience teaching Drama or performance
Confidence managing practical lessons
Strong communication and organisation

What success looks like
Students participate confidently
Work improves over time
Lessons remain structured and productive

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with theatre or performance backgrounds
