Purpose of the Role

The KS2 Class Teacher will hold full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing the Key Stage 2 curriculum in line with national standards. The role requires a professional who can maintain high expectations, provide consistency, and support pupils academically and emotionally.

 

Key Duties

                              • Deliver all core and foundation subjects within KS2
                              • Plan lessons with clear learning objectives and outcomes 
                              • Differentiate teaching to meet diverse needs Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress
                              • Establish a positive and structured classroom culture Support pupils’ personal and social development
                              • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
                              • Contribute to staff meetings and whole‑school initiatives

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

                              • Secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum
                              • Strong organisational skills
                              • Effective behaviour management strategies
                              • Ability to build professional relationships
