About the Role

A supportive and ambitious primary school in Wendover is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a temp-to-perm basis. This role will begin as a temporary placement with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, ensuring all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.

• Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence in learning.

• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.

• Support pupils in developing key literacy, numeracy, and social skills during their early years of primary education.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school development.

• Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

• Participate in staff meetings, school activities, and ongoing professional development.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in KS1.

• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective early years teaching strategies.

• Passion for supporting young learners in developing confidence and independence.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Reflective, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development.
