Salary: £29,344 – £44,919

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes from September 2026. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to make a strong impact within the school and potentially secure a permanent position.

The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a curiosity about the world around them, encouraging critical thinking about environmental, social, and global issues through engaging and dynamic Geography lessons.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).

• Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity about physical and human geography topics.

• Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning styles.

• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.

• Contribute to the wider Geography department and collaborate with colleagues to develop high-quality teaching resources.

• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.

• Support students in developing analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.

• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and continued professional development opportunities.

Person Specification

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related subject.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in Geography.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive teaching team.

• A commitment to helping students achieve their full academic potential.
