Teaching Assistant 

Location: Portsmouth
Hours: Full-time / Part-time (term-time)
Start: ASAP / September
Pay: £85 – £100 per day

We are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools across the Portsmouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced support staff or individuals looking to gain valuable experience within education.

You will work closely with teachers and pupils to provide classroom support, encourage engagement and help create a positive learning environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting students within the classroom environment
• Assisting teachers with learning activities and classroom organisation
• Working with individuals and small groups of pupils
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
• Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Building positive relationships with students and staff

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
• Positive, patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Flexible and proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
