Job Title: Humanities Teacher

Location: Stoke Mandeville

Start: September 2026

Full Time: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £29,344-£44,919

Your responsibilities:

  • Adapt and tailor your routines for specific needs, to help students with additional needs clearly understand the subjects.
  • Communicate clearly with not only your pupils, but parents and other staff, in order to build rapport.
  • Deliver carefully designed lessons to make topics enjoyable, comprehensible and fun!
  • Support and encourage learning, and positive outlooks, in order to build confidence in children.
  • Track the development and progress consistently throughout terms to ensure complete understanding of each topic.
  • Your ideal qualities:
  • QTS or qualifications in other relevant subjects

  • Has a clear understanding of the national curriculum, and is happy to follow it’s routine
  • Has experience working with children in a school setting and genuinely enjoys supporting them through practical, face‑to‑face learning.
  • Builds safe, trusting relationships with students.
  • Understands diverse perspectives, and listens with empathy and open-mindedness
  • Is calm and supportive of students, willing to manage sensitive topics and create a safe respectful classroom
