KS1 0.6 contract teacher

Location: Southampton

 Start Date: September 2026

Contract: 3 days per week, 8:00 AM – 4 PM

 Pay: Paid to scale (£130-£150)

About the Role:

An Ofsted “Good” rated school with excellent behaviour and high expectations is currently seeking a 0.6 job share teacher for a permanent role. The school are looking for someone with experience of job sharing and who is willing to take on full teaching responsibility.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Primary Teacher – experience of a job share role is desirable
• Experience in teaching KS1 pupils including getting pupils ready for phonic assessments
• Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND

Requirements

• UK-recognised teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
