Your ideal qualities:

  • Has experience working with children in a school setting and genuinely enjoys supporting their learning in mathematics.
  • Appreciates the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of students, using this understanding to make maths relatable, inclusive, and engaging for all learners.
  • Teaches at a pace that supports every student—stretching high achievers while providing clear, steady guidance for those who need more confidence in maths.
  • Supports students with patience and empathy, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop a positive attitude toward problem‑solving.
  • Holds QTS or qualifications in a relevant subject area.
  • (Unqualified teachers with strong subject knowledge are also encouraged to apply!)
  • Has a solid understanding of the national curriculum and how to deliver maths content effectively across key stages.

  • Engage clearly with not only your pupils, but parents and other staff, in order to build rapport.

  • Track the development and progress consistently throughout terms to

ensure complete understanding of each topic.

  • Present carefully articulated lessons to make topics enjoyable, clear and fun!
