Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded primary school in Iver, who are seeking a committed and motivated Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role within Key Stage 2 and support pupils through a crucial stage of their learning journey.

About the Role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school, while maintaining a positive, engaging, and encouraging classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking full responsibility for a Year 6 class
  • Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Preparing pupils confidently for SATs, including targeted interventions
  • Planning, assessing, and adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Promoting resilience, independence, and high expectations
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure strong pupil outcomes

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from teachers who are passionate about Upper Key Stage 2 and ready to make a lasting impact.

You will ideally:

  • Hold QTS, PGCE, (unqualified teachers also welcome to apply)
  • Have experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 6
  • Be confident delivering SATs-focused teaching and interventions
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be organised, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
  • Be positive, reflective, and eager to contribute to school life
