Supply Desk is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stokenchurch who are seeking a confident and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on additional responsibility and play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development.

About the Role

As a HLTA, you will work collaboratively with class teachers and senior leaders to support teaching and learning across the school. You will have opportunities to lead lessons, support interventions, and provide high-quality support to pupils, including those with additional needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
  • Supporting whole-class, small group, and 1:1 learning
  • Delivering targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment
  • Supporting pupils with SEN, ASD, ADHD, and additional needs
  • Assisting with planning, assessment, and feedback
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Building strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff

  • Hold HLTA status or have significant school-based experience
  • Are confident leading lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
