EBD HLTA – New Forest Area
Supporting Pupils with SEMH, Autism and Behavioural Needs

Location: New Forest Area
Hours: 08:30am – 4:30pm, 5 days per week
Start: ASAP
Long-term position (potential to become permanent)
Pay: £90 – £100 per day

Are you patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs?

We’re seeking a dedicated HLTA to support within an SEMH provision unit in a secondary school setting. You will work with pupils presenting a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs, supporting them both academically and emotionally.

This role requires someone calm, consistent, and confident in managing behaviour, following structured support strategies, and building positive relationships with pupils. Experience supporting children with complex needs and adapting learning to suit individual styles is essential.

• Experience working with children or adults with additional needs
• Strong understanding of SEMH, autism, and behavioural support
• Resilient, calm, and consistent approach
• Ability to build positive and trusting relationships
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Proactive and adaptable mindset
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
