What Will You Do as a Cover Supervisor?

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise students during lessons when their regular teacher is absent, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain engagement using effective behaviour management strategies.
• Support students in completing work set by the teacher and ensure learning continues smoothly.
• Provide additional support to individuals or small groups where needed.
• Report any concerns or updates regarding student behaviour or progress to school staff.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for motivated and adaptable individuals who:

• Have experience working with secondary school-aged students (as a teaching assistant, cover supervisor, tutor, or similar role).
• Have strong classroom management skills and the confidence to lead a class.
