This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the very start of a child’s educational journey, helping to build strong foundations for future success.

The Role

The Reception year is a vital stage in early development. You will create a warm, engaging, and well-structured classroom environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.

You will:

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
  • Encourage early communication skills, independence, and positive learning behaviours
  • Observe, assess, and track progress to meet individual needs
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers

The Ideal Candidate

You understand that Reception is about more than teaching—it’s about nurturing confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

You will ideally:

  • Have experience teaching Reception or EYFS, or a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Hold QTS (unqualified teachers with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply)
  • Be patient, creative, and engaging
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management with a nurturing approach
  • Thrive as part of a supportive and collaborative team

What’s in It for You?

  • A friendly and supportive school community in Cuddington
  • A full-time, long-term opportunity
  • Competitive pay rates
  • A collaborative and forward-thinking staff team
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • Dedicated support from your Supply Desk consultant
