PE Teacher – Secondary School (KS3 & KS4)

Location: Southampton Start Date: April 2026 (Summer Term) Contract: Long‑term cover until July 2026 Pay: £150 – £230 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role

We are seeking a PE Teacher to join the school for the summer term, starting in April 2026. You will deliver engaging and high‑quality PE lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging participation, confidence, and a lifelong love of physical activity. The role involves contributing to a vibrant PE department that values teamwork, high standards, and inclusive practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dynamic PE lessons in line with the national curriculum and the school’s values
• Inspire students to participate in a broad range of sports and physical activities.
• Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Contribute to extracurricular sport, clubs, and whole‑school initiatives that enrich student experience.
• Uphold the school’s ethos of respect, aspiration, and personal development

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
• Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills.
• A commitment to supporting the development of confident, healthy, and motivated young people.
