Due to continued growth within the department, the school is seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated English Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers looking to build their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school.

The Opportunity
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, bringing literature and language to life through engaging and purposeful teaching. The successful candidate will support pupils in developing strong literacy, analytical thinking, and written communication skills, helping them reach their academic potential.

Key Duties Include:
Teaching English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4 classes

Designing engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners

Monitoring progress through effective assessment and constructive feedback

Encouraging a passion for reading and writing both inside and outside the classroom

Working collaboratively with departmental colleagues to support curriculum development

Contributing positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for English

An inclusive and reflective approach to teaching and learning

Effective classroom management and strong organisational skills

An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
