Supply Desk are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Science Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in the Brighton area. This position offers the opportunity to teach across KS3–KS4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience and school requirements. The school provides a supportive environment where staff collaboration, pupil engagement, and high‑quality teaching are central to its ethos.

In this role, you will deliver well‑structured and engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will work closely with the Science department and wider school teams to plan, assess, and track pupil progress, ensuring that learners of all abilities remain motivated and confident in their scientific understanding.

Your work will support pupils in developing strong subject knowledge, practical investigation skills, and a positive attitude towards Science as a whole.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Science.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Confident classroom practitioner with effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a department and contribute to planning and curriculum development.
  • Clear communication skills, organisation, and a commitment to continuous professional improvement.

Requirements:

  • References covering the past 2 years.
  • An Enhanced DBS Check on the update service (or willingness to apply — assistance available).
  • Previous experience teaching in a UK secondary school (minimum 6 months preferred).
