Primary Supply Teacher – Haywards Heath

Location: Haywards Heath & Surrounding Areas Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Days Salary: Paid to scale – M1 to UPS3 or £130–£150 per day Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

We’re seeking enthusiastic and adaptable primary teachers to join our supply team in Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas. Each day brings a new classroom, new pupils and fresh challenges—perfect for teachers who thrive on variety and want to keep their practice sharp.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering engaging lessons across primary year groups

  • Creating positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environments

  • Adapting quickly to different schools, routines and class abilities

  • Supporting pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and following school policies

 

What We’re Looking For

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in primary settings

  • Confident classroom management and strong curriculum knowledge

  • Someone adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Ability to plan, deliver and assess lessons independently
